I was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest spending my days hiking the rugged mountains of Seattle and sipping the best coffee in the world. In high school I participated on mission trips to the middle east and eastern Europe where I learned of God's heart of love for the nations.
I studied at Whitworth College in Spokane, WA, where I majored in chemistry, and studied Chinese at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for one year. My love for China and its people grew large, which led me to pursue further work after college with a medical NGO in western China Prior to medical school, I also worked as a nursing assistant in a nursing home and hospital that exposed me to both the challenged and great rewards of patient care. Having never been to the east coast, I spent the next 4 years living in Philadelphia studying at Jefferson Medical College that consisted of many amazing life experiences while working in an urban setting.
The next 3 years I will be working as a family medicine resident at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA, where I look forward to excellent clinical training while learning what it means to follow Jesus as a western physician in a post-modern world.
The destination is unknown, but the journey is sure: to grow in love for Jesus and follow His ways each step of the way.
As for God, His way is perfect. Psalm 18
